Sandra Diaz-Velasco is thrilled to have been feature in the Ornare Tastemakers Event! Here’s the feature!
Love for all mediums of art expressions, inspired by Sandra’s grandfather’s love for craftsmanship, allowed her to develop a passion and talent for creating structures and spaces with a holistic approach. For Sandra, It is all about emotions and communicating them through her own design dialect.. With a background that allows her to artfully integrate architecture, interior architecture, finishes, art and furnishings the final result in each of her projects is neither formulaic or predictable. She works with her clients’ personal sense of style but she has powerful guiding principals and knowledge that enrich their resulting spatial flow and aesthetic.
Sandra began her design career as an architect in Colombia and after relocating to Miami, she worked as Project Manager with the award winning Taylor & Taylor Partnership on Miami Beach where she helped develop an important amount of the firm’s top projects as she is acknowledged in their book Classic Florida Style.
Nowadays, Sandra runs her own firm, EOLO A&I DESIGN, a concept of energy flow, constant renovation, and environment preservation. . Team work at every level between all collaborators (clients, consultants, providers, contractors) have created a beautiful difference at the end of every project. Eolo Design’s holistic approach and experience maintain a balance between both sides of the company. The business side (financial, administrative) reflects the team core values of discipline and organized processes, and the artistic side keeps their creative inner child working. Eolo Design integrates its clients to the design process thru effective communication, hand sketching, and photo realistic visualizations to ensure the finished architectural and/or interior design project exceeds their expectations.
She has been a member of the Small Business Advisory committee for the Miami Dade School Board and the Association of Women Architects and Engineers. Her work has been recognized in many publications and media outlets such as 2016 and 2015 Décor YearBook Miami, Luxe Interior & Design, Miami Magazine, Modern Luxury Interiors, NBC6 in the Mix, Miami Herald, industry blogs, DCOTA’s I-95 Billboard and more. Her accomplishments and recognitions include, DCOTA Star on the Rise, DecoratorsBest People’s Choice Award, Three simoltaneous design awards in KBDN Magazine and the CIty of Doral’s “Keeping the City Beautiful” award.
